Tonight was a great day – all roofing projects were finished in time to keep the rain out that came this evening. We had an Ash Wednesday service at the Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church and a great devotional time where each of the team shared what the trip has meant to them. Here is a brief summary of each of the projects:

Melrose Home –

The roof was completed! Interior painting has progressed and will continue.

Smith Home –

Roofing completed to a point where water tight. Ridge caps need to be applied to finish and additional work to finish the garage area.

A dumpster was delivered between at the Smith/Melrose homes and the whip cracking Tim and his VT crew had the two and half days of debris cleaned up within an hour.

Ford Home –

The roofing and front porch was completed.

The team was again augmented with the members from Virginia Tech. We shared lunch and had a great time working with and getting to know these students. We have really appreciated their help – without them we would not have accomplished what we have.

It has been really good interacting with Melrose, Mr. Smith and Mrs. Ford. They have all warmed to us as the week has progressed and it has been great getting to know a little about them and praying with them in the morning and evening.

Please keep Alice in your prayers - she is still stuggling with her illness.
